Little wandering thought

Just now on the MRT train, I was looking out at the scenery and for one split second, deciding between viewing the skies and viewing the land. Such is the narrowness of our vision. Are we able to expand our scope of vision, to encompass all the sights span by our eyeball so that we don’t have to place our attention at different pieces? It goes the same for memories, why do they have to be piecemeal and not an entire coverage? (After some thinking, I deduced that we simply couldn’t remember everything as that would make it like we are living double – one half in memories, one half in reality.)
