What If
What if I took up psychology instead of IT? How about holding an outdoor job versus an inbound office work? How would life be if it were a married life now, being able to "retire" into the warm lovenest at the end of everyday? And if I were earning twice my current pay and could afford to conquer LV or Prada bags without batting an eye, would I have gone around on this kinda extravagant shopping?
Thoughts aside, yellow has crept into me recently with my self-consciousness on what other than the weight issue. Beef, pork, duck are to be gouged. Eeks.
Feeling tired after a 48-min run along Marina Promenade, in need of a massage from dear WW but will have to wait till tomorrow. Getting a massage on your tired muscles is one of the best gifts you could get, especially when back from a long day. If you fear you lack strength, make good use of your pointy elbows.
On another note, I'm missing something (where) again...

Don’t kill us with your cooking!
Just now for lunch, we ladies went to an eatery along Boon Tat Street and tried some of their many dishes. I got to say, their food sucks! So salty and oily, must have poured in MSG like there are mountain heaps of it. I wonder how they could bear to do so to the innocent patronisers, and if they will ever cook such dishes for their own consumption. Now not only does food have to taste good, it has to be healthy as well, whipped up with a heart. I don’t mind paying more for a hearty dish, like the ones at YogiHub, done up with customers’ health and well-being in mind.

We all like pretty things
It’s quite amazing how companies are willing to fork out big amounts to impress their customers. This morning I went for a talk by a software company with my colleague. The breakfast talk, which took up the whole morning, was held in Pan Pacific ballroom and we were served full breakfast sets while the speakers went about their presentations. I’m going to delve into the food: to start off, we were served bread (my favourite! Especially the European-style bread. Oh my, Europe oh Europe!), followed by a plate of fruits (honeydew, watermelon, papaya, grapes, blueberries, rock-melon – so many!). After that was American breakfast set – scrambled egg with smoked salmon, sausages, hash browns, baked beans, and pickled vegetables. (Note that I like jotting down lists of food.) All these made my breakfast calories hit around 450kcal. Hoho. Just cut down on lunch with fish porridge, and jog 50 mins in the evening at Esplanade. Yeah!

Some can’t live without a coffee each in the morning and after lunch; some can’t sleep at night without his/her partner’s hug. Wong Tian and her HL have to meet each other everyday. I can’t live without my steadfast soul support, that him in my life.
Have you ever considered, just what, in your life, you can do without?

Dream Dream Dream
I feel bad seeing WW so tired after sending me home. His sleepy droopy eyes while driving, the lack of energy in his body and his face full of yearning for the bed – all adorable yet somewhat heart-wrenching expressions. But I’m definitely grateful for the rides, as that do provide us with more interaction time. However, next time I shall have greater resolve to travel back home on my own especially if he has his work to finish up.
Yesterday afternoon we were at National Library, which turns out to be a very cool place indeed. One major plus point is the full-length windows, which give visitors a splendid view of the surrounding buildings, including Suntec and Shaw Towers, and beyond. We could even view part of Benjamin Sheares Bridge with its glory. The seating arrangement within the library is spacious and portrays a neat feel. The sofa seats are comfy too, providing back rest for our back support. Next time it can serve as my hangout place when I have spare time on hands, as reading even one reference book in there can take up my whole afternoon.
The start of another workweek is impending. Not that keen to kick-start the week for this round, as there isn’t much work recently. Plus I just can’t miss this kind of hazy stuffy weather enough. Just wanna spend the day outdoors, feeling the breeze in the face, the sun on the head and dreaminess in the air.

Photo Diary I
WW (in maroon shirt) with his gang of fellow friends. WW has gone through the same parade some 4 years ago.
The spaghetti, egg salad with croutons and soup whipped up by Tian & Henry last Sunday, to celebrate Mama's birthday which falls on 13 March.
Everyone was here! I was the photo-taker, so don't aim to find me in the picture.
Hugging a 7.5-kg watermelon! So big~
Bigger than WW's face! Need nan ren to carry it home =P
Okay, something out of topic here. But I find this comic quite hilarious.
And lastly, the cross-stitched tissue-holder I've completed at last! Took me around half a year. Now I can carry it every working day when going out for lunch. Yay.

Swimming Shiok
These days my dieting cap is on again as I can’t bear to see the weighing scale needle go beyond the thick black line, and I really dislike looking at those lumps hanging on the arms. So it will be fish porridge, no cakes, no chocolates, and more calorie-counting. Don’t tempt me with sinful indulgences k, especially freshly-baked muffins that I have such strong cravings for recently.
Suddenly the idea of being wafer-thin sounds so nice…

To Everything There is a Season
I can’t help think: what exactly has changed in these ten over years? The skies, the weather, the settings, all remain the same. No doubt our looks and build have modified over time; what about our internal core? Do we hold on to the same set of beliefs and principles? Do we care anymore about the things we hold on tightly to then?
Somehow wishing they could put me on a bus now, looking out of the window again, viewing things under the melancholic tone as so strongly cast by the afternoon sun, particularly from the sun of this season.

The little joys in my everyday life
Recently “enrolled” in a school bus system, taking a private chartered bus to work every morning. From now onwards, can get to enjoy the morning view of Marina South and ECP. And if you know me, I love beautiful scenery to bits, especially those of the sun, trees and blue skies.
These are the little things in my everything life which make me smile to myself:
- The scenic bus trip to work, touring past Bedok South private houses, condos and the trees and flowers alongside ECP
- Bathing with Dove blue shower cream after my jogs – getting addicted to the fragrance!
- Reaching home, although on an empty stomach, as Mama’s delicious home-cooked food is waiting for me
- Lying on the bed doing my cross-stitch or reading, and chatting with WW if he’s not asleep by then
There are so many moments in life we can immense in, relax and simply live the moment.

Wahaha, it's mine
Very enjoyable weekend just zoomed past. So glad didn’t have to do any work at home, which would have been such a letdown. So this weekend me got to spend quite a lot of time with WW (yay =)) and met up with friends. WW and I went cycling from his house all the way to Pasir Panjang, going through dusty road constructions and rather dangerous stretches of narrow roads. Breathed in the dirty fumes and specks of dust. So we tried to go faster along those stretches. It was a good workout and fun time together nevertheless, and our legs were very soft after the one-hour-plus cycle la, can’t walk!
Then met up with Tong, Sher and her HST, and Sam for dinner. Wanted to dine at Marina Square, but it was super duper crowded. Avoid that place during the weekends! Horrendous! So we settled for Sushi Tei at Milenia Walk, not that much better but we were still able to tong till our turn in the waiting list. It’s interesting to see each tastes in Japanese food, with Sher ordering the soft jelly-like scallops and crisply-fried softshell crab maki (quite the seadfood-lady), Tong ordering shishamo and salmon sashimi (the sha-shi-sal guy?), me ordering staple dishes like soba, inari sushi, and lastly HST ordering his bowl of Japanese rice and complementing it with sushi and stuff we ordered. In the end we got quite a good spread and got the chance to try some I have never tried before.
A new object of obssession this time
Maybe I'll just get it later.
Recently been spending a lot - drinking and eating at restaurants. If it runs at such rate, I'll go pok gai!
