It’s quite amazing how companies are willing to fork out big amounts to impress their customers. This morning I went for a talk by a software company with my colleague. The breakfast talk, which took up the whole morning, was held in Pan Pacific ballroom and we were served full breakfast sets while the speakers went about their presentations. I’m going to delve into the food: to start off, we were served bread (my favourite! Especially the European-style bread. Oh my, Europe oh Europe!), followed by a plate of fruits (honeydew, watermelon, papaya, grapes, blueberries, rock-melon – so many!). After that was American breakfast set – scrambled egg with smoked salmon, sausages, hash browns, baked beans, and pickled vegetables. (Note that I like jotting down lists of food.) All these made my breakfast calories hit around 450kcal. Hoho. Just cut down on lunch with fish porridge, and jog 50 mins in the evening at Esplanade. Yeah!
